The Guru Tattva is a principle of divine teaching. It is the expression of knowledge that comes through a teacher, expressed from an inspired state. This principle is present in some individuals as teachers, parents and sometimes even in artifacts or books. It is the teaching itself that comes through the teacher and that is passed down from teacher to student through lineage.
